Style Alert

Here's recent modest fashions I've noticed for LDS young women:

Everywhere you turn it seems you can see a track jacket. They are sporty, but can be worn very girly.
Modesty Factor: Long sleeves, not too low cut or high cut, these are perfect tops.

Recently it seems this is the new rule for fashion: if it has sequins, it's cute. They make things glittery and will dazzle any outfit.

These shirts are great for layering and come in all kinds of shades. They'll dress up any outfit instantly.
Modesty Factor: While immodest alone, these make tank tops have sleeves. Maybe two wrongs do make a right.

Boho skirts. They're swingy, modest, and come in all different colors. The most popular ones are in earth tones like mauve, brown, green, and dark blue. They go to about mid-shin and the fabric resembles creep paper because of the intentional wrinkles.
Modesty Factor: These skirts are plenty long.

Ditch your heels 'cause the latest thing in footwear is ballet flats. They look a little like Mary-Jane's, but they usually don't have the strap across the top. They come in all different colors and patterns. I've seen these worn with jeans and with skirts.

Lippy Juice

WAIT! If your lip gloss ran out, don't throw away the container! Here are some cool lip gloss recipes:

1. Just fill it up with honey. One ingredient, can't get more simple.

2.Get 1/4 tsp of cocoa butter, and honey. Then mix in 4 chocolate chips, and one vitamin E capsule (available at drugstores). Put it in the microwave for about 25 seconds. Afterwards, put in the refrigerator until solid. The only problem with this recipe is that it tastes SO good that you won't be able to keep it on your lips!

3. Scoop about a tablespoon of petroleum jelly and put it in your container. Then take one raspberry and brake it apart into the little round sections and mix those in. Add one drop of red food coloring. Put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Yum.

Bye Bye, Racoon Eye
Hey, when you wake up in the morning do you get dark circles under your eyes? Well, adding more vitamin C to your diet will help. Especially in the morning, when it's at it's worst, and right before bed, so it can sink in. Vitamin C is in most fruits, particularly citrus fruits.

Mini 2 Modest
Hey, have you ever been at the clothing store and saw a really cute skirt? I'm talking I-have-got-to-have-it cute. But then you try it on and *gasp* find out it's immodest? What's a girl to do? Well, you can buy it anyway and make it modest. Just attach some fabric to the bottom as a skirt extension. It's a really cute look and you can do it for personal progress.

Honey I Shrunk my Pores
Here's another simple, one-ingredient mask. Honey! Pour some into a bowl and use a paint brush to put it on. Wash off after about 5 minutes. This exfoliates your skin, leaving it silky smooth.

Quick Wash
If you are in a rush in the morning, or going camping, this is the simplest way to wash your hair without a shower. Just use baby powder. Sprinkle it on your hair then brush it out. The powder will absorb the oil and leave your hair soft, silky, and smelling fresh. You really will be surprised how quickly this works.

Egg Facial
This is a simple one-ingredient mask that works for anyone:
For oily skin: one egg white
For dry skin: one egg yolkFor normal skin: one whole egg
